Whitelaws’ Ride for Legal Aid!
CLASI Advocacy Director John Whitelaw and his sons Brendan and Simon are riding 350 miles along the Great Allegheny Passage and C&O Canal trails from Pittsburgh to Washington, DC from May 26 – 29, 2018. Your donation to the Combined Campaign for Justice in honor of this epic ride will support the work legal aid organizations in Delaware to keep vulnerable families housed, fed, and safe.
There are more than a hundred thousand people in Delaware living in poverty who need help with legal issues they can’t resolve on their own. An abused mother needs safety for herself and her children. A family threatened with wrongful eviction or foreclosure faces homelessness. A child with a disability may lose access to health care or food benefits. The Combined Campaign for Justice raises funds each year to support the operations of Delaware’s three legal aid organizations as they work to address these problems.
John and his sons will begin their journey in Pittsburgh on Saturday, May 26, riding roughly 100 miles per day along the Great Allegheny Passage and the C&O Canal trails. The journey will end on Tuesday May 29 in Washington, DC. You can honor their adventurous spirits by supporting CCJ.
